Some people don't like football. Fair enough. Many aspects of the game as it is today aren't so great. But this bloke was a true artist. Big influence on me. Not because it made me want to play football or anything. Just that he had an amazing talent and he stuck around at a low(ish) level team rather than chasing cash at a bigger club. Enough pretentiously written nostalgia. I give you... Le God.
I was at a few of these games. I can definitely remember being at the Wimbledon game (the first goal on the clip). I was behind the goal to the right hand side as you look at it. Freeze it, zoom in and you will see me in all my NHS glasses wearing glory.
