So, a ltd ed Valentines Day EP from Dan Michaelson was released a few days back. Fancy a copy? Well you're too damn late! Only 100 made, all sold out, and here is one of them. Needless to say, barring a lack of autography, this was bang on in terms of dem rules. Let's have a look...

Look what came in the post yesterday..

After the mild dissapointment of the LDR release on monday I looked around for some other recent releases to get interested in. I heard about First Aid Kit via 6music, nme and Q. Two folky swedish sisters, americana stylings, produced by Mike Mogis (Bright Eyes), featuring Nate Walcott (Bright Eyes) and one song sung with Conor Oberst (of...Bright Eyes). Well, those that know me will know that this would definitely be a pulled trigger. So, in the spirit of The Rules i checked out their website to see if there was any special deluxe ltd ed action going on.. And oy vey, have a look at this little lot.

The cd, a link to some live tracks, an arty print of the lyrics, a poster, another poster signed by the band and a linen bag thing. About as americana as americana gets (see their tune 'emmylou' on youtube and you'll know what i mean) but good. A definite 7/10 with potential to be an 8. 

Heading back to Green Man..

Tickets bought. If i had an iphone with a countdown app i'd start it..... now.
